Cristal Bathily, BA Master’s Level Intern

Hi, I’m Cristal, 

I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. Becoming a counselor has been more than just a career path for me; it is something that genuinely comes from the heart. My passion for this field began through life experiences that showed me how important it is to have someone who truly listens, supports, and believes in you during difficult moments.

As a full-time mom, student, and helping professional, I understand how overwhelming life can feel while trying to balance responsibilities, emotions, and personal struggles. These experiences have strengthened my compassion for others and deepened my desire to create a safe and supportive space where people feel comfortable being themselves without judgment. My “why” is rooted in wanting others to know they do not have to face their challenges alone.

I am passionate about helping individuals work through anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, and personal hardships while also recognizing their strengths and resilience. I believe healing begins with connection, empathy, and feeling truly understood. My goal as a counseling intern is to build meaningful therapeutic relationships where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow into the version of themselves they want to become.
